Yamazaki Flatware Hand-Polishing Workshop
About the Workshop
Join us for an exclusive 90-minute hands-on workshop with Yamazaki, a renowned Japanese flatware company specializing in premium cutlery from Tsubame, the heartland of Japanese metalworking craftsmanship.
The session begins with an introduction to Yamazaki heritage and an inside look at their factory through a documentary screening. You'll then experience a guided spoon tasting, comparing standard flatware with Yamazaki precision-crafted pieces to discover how quality design transforms the dining experience.
During the hands-on workshop portion, you'll learn traditional hand-polishing techniques and create your own personalized flatware set (2 pieces) to take home, decorated with a sticker of your choice. You'll also have exclusive access to pre-order items from the Gold Leaf Tableware collection by the Hakuichi Project, a special collaboration rarely available outside Japan.
Throughout the workshop, enjoy complimentary Niigata specialty sweets and rice crackers, celebrating the culinary traditions of Yamazaki's home region.
No experience is required — beginners are welcome. All materials and tools will be provided, and you'll leave with functional, personalized flatware you can use and treasure for years to come.
Seats are limited and early sign-ups are strongly encouraged. A small waitlist may be available in case of cancellations.
